2026 Local Governance Summer School- May Cohort

Bulawayo Progressive Residents Association (BPRA) is pleased to announce the 2026 Local Governance Summer School, a capacity-building programme designed to equip young people with knowledge and practical skills on local governance, citizen participation, public accountability, service delivery monitoring, and community advocacy.

Who Can Apply?

Applications are open to:

• Young people from Bulawayo (18-35) passionate about governance and civic engagement
  
• Students and recent graduates
  
• Civic society actors
  
• Human Rights Defenders
  
• Individuals interested in public policy, accountability, and community development

Women, persons with disabilities, and residents from underserved communities are especially encouraged to apply.

Application Deadline: 15 May 2026

How to Apply

Interested applicants should submit:

• A CV
  
• A 1 page motivation statement explaining why they would like to participate in the Summer School

NB - No academic qualification is required.
